Independent Celebrant

Remembering and Honouring Lives

About Me

I  trained as a celebrant in 2013 with Greenfuse in Devon. Since then I have taken services  mainly at local crematoriums but also at  memorial woodlands, hotels, cemeteries, gardens and even pubs! A funeral service can be held just about anywhere.
Wherever you choose to hold the ceremony I will work with you to build a personal and bespoke service honouring the person who has died. We are each individuals and our funeral ceremonies should reflect that.
For some a service full of music, speakers, poetry and song may be right, for others a simple and peaceful ceremony, some may want hymns and a prayer, others may have different spiritual beliefs or have a more humanist approach.
I will guide you through the preparations, organise many of the elements for you and lead the service on the day. I will take time to listen to you and your family, respecting any wishes the person who has died may have left, to say a final farewell in a unique, heartfelt and personal way.
I can be contacted directly or you may choose to ask the funeral director to contact me.
About Me

from Jill

I feel we gave mum the best send off we could possible give her. Thank you so much for the words you had so beautifully written about her. You did indeed sum her up so eloquently. The feed back was outstanding. A fitting send off for a complex character. If only she was here she would have loved it so. For me you helped make is so much more bearable.

from A & D

A couple of days have passed, the families have gone home and we have a little peace and quiet. This is a short note to thank you for your outstanding support and the excellence in which you led the service for our darling daughter. We have both been touched by your warmth and beauty of spirit and cannot thank you enough for what you have done for us.

from Martin

The service you gave was so lovely and so many family members commented on how apt it was in relation to Mum's character. The planning was professional, compassionate and actually enjoyable at a time when I didn't think I wanted to talk about mum. Professional job all round.

Death is not the opposite of life but a part of it.
